Pilot Scale Spray Dryer

Pilot Scale Spray Dryer is a 1.5–2 L/h water-evaporation system for pilot-scale drying of solutions, suspensions, and paste-like feeds. It uses spray atomization and hot-air contact for process development, material trials, and scale-up evaluation.

Rapid Droplet Drying: The feed is atomized into fine droplets and contacted with hot air, allowing moisture to evaporate over a short drying path.

Air-Contact Modes: Co-current, counter-current, or mixed-flow contact modes are available according to the selected process configuration.

Powder Formation: Spray drying converts atomizable liquid feed into dry powder directly, making the process suitable where a free-flowing powdered form is required.

Process-Dependent Results: Final powder characteristics depend on feed composition, feed rate, atomization conditions, and drying temperature.

Drying Chamber: The atomized feed enters the drying chamber, where droplets contact the hot-air stream for moisture removal.

Cyclone Collection: A cyclone separator is included in the powder collection path, followed by a collecting tube and collection bottle for recovering the dried product.

Nozzle Options: Supports alternative nozzle diameters depending on the viscosity and desired particle size of the feed material.

Material Selection: Contact parts can be specified in different grades of stainless steel to match corrosive or reactive chemical properties.

Airflow Configuration: The drying system includes a 0.55 kW draft fan; airflow-related settings can be considered when establishing the drying process.
