Applications & Suitable Materials

Laboratory Process Development: For universities, research institutes and industrial laboratories conducting spray drying trials, formulation studies and powder preparation.

Food & Nutritional Materials: For pumpable food solutions, emulsions and suspensions requiring conversion from liquid feed to powder.
Pharmaceutical & Biological Materials: For laboratory drying of enzyme preparations, biological products and other heat-sensitive, solvent-free materials.
Chemical & Functional Materials: For suitable chemical formulations, emulsions and suspensions processed by centrifugal atomization.

Spray Drying Process

Instant Drying Cycle: Atomizes liquid feed into fine droplets, achieving complete moisture removal within 1.0 to 1.5 seconds inside the drying chamber.

Thermal Exposure Control: Limits high-temperature contact strictly to the brief atomization phase to preserve the chemical and physical integrity of active ingredients.

Continuous Separation: Directs dried powder and exhaust air into a cyclone separator for automatic collection in the collection tube while maintaining continuous airflow.

Main Components & System Configuration

Atomizer Nozzle: Fabricated from 316 stainless steel to produce a normal particle size distribution with high powder fluidity.
Feed System: Uses an adjustable peristaltic pump supporting a minimum sample processing volume of 50 mL.
Drying Chamber & Lighting: Built with high-quality stainless steel and integrated with a floodlight and observation window for visual monitoring during operation.
Control Interface: Features an LCD touch screen displaying real-time parameters supported by PID constant temperature control technology.

Customization & Engineering Options

Atomizer Configuration: Different atomizer nozzle models can be selected according to the required spray and powder characteristics.
Operating Parameters: Inlet temperature, outlet temperature, feed rate and atomizer speed can be adjusted to match different laboratory drying conditions.
Product-Contact Materials: The atomizer nozzle is available in 316 stainless steel. Other product-contact material requirements can be reviewed according to the sample characteristics.
Electrical Configuration: The standard unit uses a 220 V power supply. Electrical requirements should be confirmed before ordering according to the installation location.

Testing & Trial Drying

Small-Volume Testing: A minimum feed volume of 50 mL allows preliminary drying trials with limited sample quantities.
Process Parameter Adjustment: Inlet temperature, feed rate and atomizer speed can be varied to assess their effects on drying and powder formation.
Powder Evaluation: Trial samples can be evaluated for powder recovery, moisture content, particle characteristics and appearance according to application requirements.
Process Development: Test results can be used to establish drying conditions before scale-up or transfer to larger spray drying equipment.

Installation, Commissioning & Service

Pre-Installation Information: The required installation area, electrical supply, ventilation conditions and equipment placement should be confirmed before delivery.
Equipment Setup: Initial setup covers positioning of the dryer, connection of the feed system and checking of the atomizer, heating and air-draft systems.
Operating Guidance: Operating instructions cover feed loading, temperature adjustment, atomizer speed setting, powder collection and routine cleaning.
Spare Parts & Technical Support: Wear parts and replacement components can be identified according to the equipment configuration and operating requirements.

FAQ

Q: What is the typical lead time from order confirmation to dispatch?

A: Production and testing generally require 15 to 25 working days depending on current factory scheduling.

Q: Are alternative voltage configurations available if our laboratory lacks a 220V power supply?

A: External transformers must be arranged by the user to accommodate the 7 kW total power demand.

Q: How are replacement atomizer parts and pump tubing ordered?

A: Wear components are stocked directly and can be requested through our technical support desk using designated part numbers.

Q: What external exhaust connection is necessary for the exhaust fan?

A: The unit requires a direct duct connection to an outdoor vent or laboratory extraction system to handle the 0.75 kW draught output.

Q: Can the cyclone separator and collection tube be detached without tools?

A: The collection assembly uses quick-release clamps to allow manual removal for cleaning between batches.

Q: What is the recommended cleaning procedure between different aqueous formulations?

A: Running a hot water flush through the peristaltic pump followed by manual wiping of the chamber walls clears standard residues.

Q: What compliance and operational documentation is included with shipment?

A: Each unit ships with a factory test report, electrical wiring diagrams, a user manual, and material certificates for stainless steel components.

Q: How is troubleshooting managed if temperature fluctuations occur during operation?

A: Diagnostic data from the LCD touch screen PID controller can be reviewed remotely with our engineering team.
